Subject: IEEE Xplore Access is Now Available
Introducting IEEE Xplore!
A second option for accessing
IEEE information!
Due to recent requests, Information Services has obtained access to the new IEEE Xplore service.
The two options listed below are available to you through December. In December you will receive an email asking which service you prefer, the IEEE Xplore service or the TOC service. After your feedback has been reviewed, only one of these services will be made available after January 2001.
Please continue to use both services in order to make an informed choice.
IEEE Xplore
· This service is produced by IEEE and has an easy to use interface with full-text searching that makes locating articles, conference proceedings, and standards much easier.
· Search options include:
· Basic and advanced searching
· Ability to browse the contents of past issues
· To access the service:
· Go to http://mslibrary/news and click on the IEEE icon or the Xplore link.
· Click on the IEEE/IEE Xplore button.
Table of Contents (TOC) Service
· Many people currently use this service to obtain IEEE materials.
· Unlike the Xplore service, the TOC service allows you to set up an alert that notifies you when new issues of IEEE journals are available.
· To access the service:
· Go to http://mslibrary/news and click on the Table of Contents Service link.
· Click on the Table of Contents Service link.
Please email "Library" if you have any questions.
Thank You,
