Founded in 1996, this Seattle-based company made headlines as one of
ComputerWorld's "Top 100 Emerging Companies 2000." As the leading

its #1 position after a very successful IPO in June 1999. Rated the
17th highest performing IPO of the year, F5 had a stock price increase of
1060% in the first six months. With more than 1,300 customers--including most
recently The Sharper Image, and HomeGrocer.com--F5 has stayed on the
fast track, increasing sales by 611% in 1999. With 187 employees in
1999, the company is headquartered in Seattle, Washington, and has offices in
Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Columbus, Los Angeles, New York, San
Francisco, Toronto, Washington, D.C., Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, The

Jeff Hussey, co-founder and president, F5, holds a BA in finance from
Seattle Pacific University and an MBA from the University of
Washington. Hussey also founded Pacific Comlink, an inter-exchange
carrier providing frame relay and Internet access services to the
Pacific Rim, in 1993 and acted as president until 1995. Other professional work
experience includes vice president of Alexander Hutton Capital, an
