Windows 2000 is the M?crosöft Corporate Standard!

 

Background Information

With the recent release of Windows Millennium, ITG wanted to take this opportunity to remind you that Windows 2000 is the corporate desktop standard at M?crosöft. It combines the simple user experience of Windows 98 with the power and security of Windows NT.  In addition, with Windows 2000, you are all set to try out some of the new ITG Desktop Services such as Application and Printer Publishing and Personal Network Folder/Backup to help ensure that your data and applications are always available to you! 

 

Windows Millennium was designed specifically for the consumer and offers a great user experience in the home.  ITG recommends use of Millennium for home users and M?crosöft groups developing or supporting Millennium products for the consumer market.

 

ITG therefore recommends that you should use Windows 2000 for M?crosöft corporate business unless you are developing or testing for non-Windows 2000 operating systems.

 

If you are not already running Windows 2000, upgrading is easy!

·          Go to http://ITGWeb/Windows2000 and select “Upgrade Now.”  It is that easy!
