Subject: IMPORTANT - Your Mailbox is [Moving/Upgrading] to
Exchange 2000!
Importance: High
Congratulations Exchange Users!!
You have been selected to participate in the pre-release
implementation of the M?crosöft Exchange 2000 Server. Help us influence the development and
customer adoption of Exchange 2000 to make sure it will be a success with our
current and future Exchange customers!
When:
Your email account will be [moved/upgraded] to a new server running
the latest pre-released version of Exchange 2000 in the next week or two. Once the [move/upgrade] is scheduled you will
receive another email with the exact date and time. Access to your email may be
interrupted during this time. Be on the lookout for details including specific
timing information from ITG Exchange 2000 Information and ITG Messaging
Operations.
Action Items:
·
The new Exchange 2000 Instant Messaging Service, which
allows you to exchange private instant messages with your co-workers, is an
alternative messaging service you can use in case any issues with your email
occur. We suggest you and your key
internal contacts download this service prior to your mailbox move to Exchange
2000. This service can be downloaded at <<http://itgweb/exchange/im>>.
·
Other than choosing to install the Exchange 2000 Instant
Messaging Service, there is nothing else you need to do prior to the [move/upgrade]. Your email profile will
automatically be updated with your new server information. Also, moving your mail from the server to
.PST files is NOT necessary to prepare for the [move/upgrade].
·
Once the [move/upgrade] is completed, your current email client will
continue to function as usual.
